Repairs
While I offer a free diagnosis service for guitar and bass pedals, this does not guarantee that I will be able to repair the item if it is significantly damaged or I don’t see it being worth repairing. I will update the customer as soon as possible upon inspecting the item.
While I mostly work exclusively on guitar pedals, I can work on guitar wiring. However, I recommend going to a guitar tech for most guitar-related issues. I don’t offer amp repair currently.
I am not willing to modify vintage/rare pedals that will revalue such units. I will make the client aware of this and recommend some modern alternatives/clones.
Prices/quotations/payments
Prices are based on labour, parts, and delivery (where applicable). If there is to be a change in the quoted price (i.e. change of a part’s price or its availability, further complication discovered when working on repairing the unit, etc.), then the customer will be made aware in due course. However, they will be liable for the full payment of the work already carried out.
Items cannot be released until full payment is received.
Withheld payments for items will be subject to a holding fee after 4 weeks.
Warranty
There is a 6-month warranty for all repairs and modifications against the work done on the item. This covers the work that was performed by ABL Pedals on the item but does not cover any damage/problems that have come up afterwards or through improper use. It does not cover cosmetic damage or any damage caused in transit.
Any original pedals (i.e. ones I’ve built from scratch) come with a lifetime warranty on all technical/mechanical aspects of the pedal (i.e. the circuitry, switch/hardware) but not on any physical/cosmetic damage or damage caused in transit or through improper use.
Modifications
If you are not happy with the modifications that I have performed on you pedal I will not undo them. Modifications are final unless the customer is willing to pay for them to be undone at cost.
All modifications are done to a high standard with through research and testing.
Turnaround
While I strive to work as quickly as possible and on the client’s job time scale, turnaround can be subject to delays. This can be affected by how long it takes to receive parts or by discovering that a job requires more work than originally expected. I will let the customer know as things progress.
An expected timescale will be given upon quotation of the job.
