About me:

I’m Angus, a DIY pedal builder based in Glasgow, Scotland. Before I established ABL Pedals, I’d spent years working with and around musicians in a number of different guises: I’ve done sound/light engineering, stage crew work, recording engineering, venue booking, gig repping… I’ve even started a record label.

Fast-forward to March 2020, when all of it disappeared in one fell swoop. All of a sudden I needed a hobby, something which combined my love of guitar playing with practical, hands-on work… Naturally I started building guitar pedals.

Soon enough I ran out of room for my own pedals, so started building them for friends. Word got out quickly and I began to get enquires from other musicians.

My mission:

First and foremost, I strive to serve local musicians by offering an affordable, friendly service which saves them buying new gear.

The world needs a system change – that’s why I bring a more sustainable approach to the table. Rather than investing in a brand new product, why not dust off an old pedal and have it modded into something new and exciting? And if a pedal’s not working, there must be a way to fix it.

Let’s reduce, reuse and recycle – ABL Pedals style!
